Rainer Tempel is a composer, arranger and piano player from Tübingen, Germany. Since the mid-90s he has produced jazz music with bands ranging from duos to orchestras.

Big bands have always been an important part of his artistic work. He has now created more than 250 ↘︎arrangements for big band, both for his own band and on commission from other orchestras.
In his small bands, Rainer Tempel plays the piano and sometimes analogue keyboard instruments. He has toured extensively as a conductor, lecturer and musician for two decades.
